DrySuit Rentals

We rent Kokatat and NRS Full and Semi-Dry suits. The only difference in full and semi-dry suits is the neck gasket - a full dry suit has a neoprene gasket and a rubber gasket for extra protection if you swim, and a semi-dry suit just has the neoprene gasket. If you want to stay dry and warm for your next river adventure, look no further! We have the largest inventory of drysuit rentals in Missoula. Please call 406-493-7073 or email info.lbsnow@gmail.com with any questions or to reserve.

Rentals may be picked up from the shop between 5PM-7PM the night before your rental window, and dropped off between 10AM-12PM the day after your rental window. For example: if rented on a Thursday, you can pick up your rental on Wednesday between 5:00PM-7:00PM, and then it is not due back until 12:00PM on Friday. If late, you will be charged for another day.

  • All drysuit rentals from LB include neoprene booties, gloves, a helmet and a PFD.

  • Drysuit gaskets are fragile. Please be conscious and careful when getting in and out of the drysuits. If you tear a gasket, you are responsible for the cost of replacement (Wrist: $50, Neck: $75, Ankle: $40).

  • Drysuit zippers are waterproof, and can be difficult to zip by yourself. If a zipper on the drysuit breaks, they cannot be repaired, and you will be charged for the

What is a Semi-Dry Suit?

The only functional difference between the semi-dry suit and a full drysuit is the neck gasket. The neck gasket on Semi-drysuit is neoprene, these were initially designed for sea kayaking and fishing in cold weather where the likelihood of full submersion is very low. That said, we have rolled kayaks in these, used them for Swiftwater Rescue Classes, and taken them on numerous laps on the Lochsa and Alberton Gorge. If you are new to drysuits, semi-drysuits are also much more comfortable.

We also rent full drysuits, which means that your neck gasket is made from latex and secures skin tight to your neck. If you are learning to kayak, plan on flipping your raft, or just want the extra security, a full drysuit is the way to go. We will give you some tips on how to get in and out of your drysuit and be gentle on your gaskets.

We can ship rentals for your trip*. We pay shipping to you, you pay on the way back!
